PCU College of Holistic Medicine is a school of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that specializes in teaching Oriental Medicine and alternative health treatments in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We offer quality TCM programs that lead to the professional designations of Registered TCM Practitioner, Doctor of TCM, Registered TCM Herbalist, Registered Acupuncturist or Spa Therapist.

Mission of PCU College of Holistic Medicine: PCU College of Holistic Medicine’s primary purpose is to serve a multi-cultural, domestic and international community, providing access to professional education, training and clinical treatment in holistic medicine.

The Goals of our Traditional Chinese Medicine - TCM Programs:
  1. To provide students with Diploma Programs in Traditional Chinese Medicine that meets and exceeds the degree level standard set by the Ministry of Advanced Education.
  2. To prepare students with a program of study meeting all of the education and clinical training requirements to challenge the CTCMA examinations in Herbology and Acupuncture and become registered TCM Practitioners within the Province of British Columbia.
  3. To help students obtain broader credential recognition including official recognition by the government of our Doctor of TCM graduates.

Program

Spa Therapy
There has been an increased interest in Spa Therapy and Spa practices over the last several years. As the stress of the business world and demands on the body and mind increase, the public is asking for a compliment to their existing therapies. This program has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the public and the growing standards of education for Spa Therapists in North America. Students gain knowledge of Human Sciences: Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology; as well as the ever popular Hot Stone Therapy, Acupressure, Reflexology and, of course, Swedish Massage. The dry spa room techniques include herbal wraps, salt scrubs, glows and facial massage. This program beautifully blends Eastern Philosophy and Western Philosophy to give our students the most well rounded education possible.
