COSMETOLOGY
The cosmetology program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/art principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. Upon completion of the program, the student will be prepared to take the Pennsylvania State Board licensing examination. Graduates may work as stylists, salon managers, and more.
Program Objective The cosmetology program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/art principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. McCann's advanced approach provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills and knowledge that can lead to an entry-level career in the field of Cosmetology. Upon completion of the program, the student will be prepared to take the Pennsylvania State Board licensing examination. Employment opportunities may include beauty salon spas, and other related businesses as a stylist, salon manager or owner, color specialist, educator, platform or makeup artist, manufacturer's representative, cosmetic salesperson, and more.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Program Objective The Massage Therapy program provides training for an entry-level career as a professional massage therapist. Students develop the knowledge necessary to develop massage protocol and perform an extensive therapeutic massage with focus on whole body wellness.
Graduates are prepared for employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, medical offices, spas, health clubs, and private practice and are eligible to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
Location
McCann's new Sunbury Campus is conveniently located on Fourth Street in the Sunbury Plaza, in a modern, air conditioned suite, housing school offices, classrooms, library, computer labs, and a student lounge.
Financial Aid
All students are encouraged to meet with our Financial Aid department in order to determine financial aid qualifications. At this time, our Financial Aid Officer will help the student to complete the necessary forms.
For financial aid purposes, McCann School of Business & Technology is a term based school (borrower based academic standard). Three quarter terms are equal to one academic year. Thus, McCann students are eligible for two full years of financial assistance in completing their 18-month specialized program (six quarter terms).
