Massage TherapyTraining in as little as 8 months!
Graduates of the Massage Therapy program have a thorough academic understanding, as well as complete hands-on training, in a variety of massage therapy fundamentals, including Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Site Specific bodywork, kinesiology, Sports massage, On-site chair massage, movement and exercise therapy. Students will be given a working knowledge of the human body and basic dietary principles. The graduate will also be CPR certified. The Massage Therapy program includes an ongoing massage internship during the course of the program in the onsite Massage Clinic. This internship allows students to gain practical experience while completing coursework. Graduates will be qualified to work as a massage therapist in chiropractic offices, health clubs, spas, hotels, cruise ships, as well as the ability to work independently.

Student Services
Guidance and AdvisingThe staff at the Institute for Business and Technology makes every effort to maintain close communication with its students. Students have access to faculty and administrative staff for both vocational and academic advising. Students experiencing personal problems, which require professional counseling, will be referred to the appropriate agencies.
Student Employment The training schedule at IBT can accommodate most working students. The Placement department will assist students in obtaining part-time or full-time employment to help them meet their living expenses during their school training. These jobs are usually not in the field for which the student is being trained. Positions are generally in food service, custodial work, merchandising and general labor.
TutoringThe Director of Education schedules tutoring in various courses, as it is needed by students. To obtain help, contact the Director of Education for a schedule. Our goal is to ensure that you graduate. We will do everything we can to see it happen.
