Therapeutic Massage (DTM)
Massage therapy is the application of soft-tissue manipulation techniques to the body. In the treatment of client health, the trained Massage Therapist can play an important role. Massage Therapists apply their training to the areas of overall health promotion, stress reduction, pain management and injury recovery. Massage is a healing art as well as a science. It requires both academic and technical knowledge, clinical skills, manual dexterity, and sensitivity. To become a massage therapist, you must have the desire to help others, as well as a commitment to investing the time and energy to develop the required skills.
The average length of time for a student taking a full course load is 2.5 semesters. A minimum of 35 semester credit hours is required for graduation. Total Credits: 35
