Our History...
BJ's Beauty & Barber Colleges were established in 1980 as Redken SES Schools. The Redken Scientific Educational System upgraded the curriculum and methods of the colleges. Today we use ABBA, Ashtae, Redken, Pureology & Beauty Control. We also offer progressive technological help through scientific literature and instruments; instructional aids, including video programs, power point, and expert quest lecturers. Our programs establishes in the industry the scientific approach as the foundation and key to education for all professionals. BJ's Beauty & Barber Colleges are well established colleges continuing to train professional students in all phases of the industry. Our colleges have a reputation for excellence in the field of student training, because the student comes FIRST.
Courses Offered
Admissions Requiremnts for the Cosmetology, Barbering, Teacher Trainee Programs...
For your convenience we have two locations where day and evening classes are offered. We are the only private accredited Cosmetology & Barber College in Pierce County. What that means to you, if you qualify, there is a PELL grant that could pay up to $4,310 for each 900 hours you are in training. Cosmetologists could qualify for $8,620. Federal Student Loans are available for those who qualify up to $16,000. Veterans may use their benefits here also!
