And Now a Few Words From a Beauty School Student

I enjoy finding out why people elect to go to beauty school. I recently came across an explanation by Jocelyn Price, who was asked that very question while she was a student at Kohler Academy. I think a lot of cosmetologists and cosmetology school students would agree with what Jocelyn had to say.

“I have chosen beauty because it is the perfect way to change the world, one person at a time, and it completes the person I am,” she explained. “It has taught me to dream big, because there are endless possibilities to be successful in my personal and professional life. Beauty has chosen me because I understand its true meaning, and I’ve enlisted to spread the word everywhere I go.”

I think this message is shared by lots of people who graduate from beauty school because of the three themes it presents:
1) The beauty profession gives you the chance to truly make a difference in people’s lives.
2) This career can be as huge as you decide for yourself. The term “endless possibilities” is not an exaggeration, because a cosmetology license can take you in so many different directions, each with sky’s-the-limit potential.
3) Once you’re in it, you want to tell the world what a great gig it is, to open other creative people’s minds to the possibility of choosing beauty as a career and to attract an ongoing pool of talented people to keep the industry fresh.
