“We’ve always known that being a hairstylist was one of the best jobs around…With advances in the Internet and social media, we have become an instant gratification society. A new trend on the East coast can be viewed in real time on the West coast and vice versa…For the past 50 years, one of the most gratifying comments I’ve ever heard is, ‘Thanks…I really needed this.’ And best of all, I’ve heard it almost daily for all that time. We are in the business of boosting self-confidence and self-esteem and that’s a great job to have…I am so proud to be part of this extraordinary industry and I am thrilled to see it getting the well-deserved press. Share this tremendous news with your clients and stylists and know that you have made a career choice that is not only stable but profitable and life-changing. Congratulations!”

“I’m not exactly sure where my passion came from, but I’ve always had it. Trust me, always. Ever since I can remember I’ve been completely infatuated with the idea of making someone look beautiful. You don’t have the kind of confidence you have right after you leave a salon with a freash new hairstyle everyday. You just don’t. And I think that being able to give someone that, even if just for one day, is the greatest gift. When I was little I actually used to use the heater that was in our basement as a blowdryer. I don’t think I knew what a blow dryer even was, but I still found a cool way to dry my hair. ♥ Also, my mom ALWAYS made sure I had the best hair where ever we went. (When I still let her do my hair, of course)
Now, I’m a 15 year old girl who is getting so close to doing the job she’s been dreaming of basically her entire life. I’ve even done four people’s hair and makeup for Homecomming once. If everything goes well I’ll be getting my cosmetology licence in three years. Fresh out of High School. Maybe a little earlier than that. I’m so excited and I couldn’t even think of anything that would make me happier than having a good job at a nice salon where I can meet more people that have the same passion as I do. I know I have a gift for this.”
